The 20 Healthiest Housing Markets for 2010

Charlotte – Gastonia – Concord now ranked #3 in Builder Magazine’s 2010 list of 20 healthiest housing markets.

Good news for those considering building or renovating with a Charlotte custom home builder and residential general contractor in 2010.

The Charlotte area has been widely recognized for holding real estate values, even as other real estate markets have collapsed. According to Builder Magazine, “Charlotte has remained one of the strongest housing markets in the country during the last three years.”

In the February 25, 2010 local market section, Builder Magazine reports, “Housing prices in this banking center were pretty stable last year, barely inching down. Income levels actually rose in 2009. And households continued to form at a relatively high rate, compared to the rest of the country. The job picture should brighten in 2010; the area is projected to add 2% more jobs.” All this is good news for Charlotte homeowners, as it should translate to better housing values in the long term, compared to the rest of the country.
